Artist statement 

My practice and motivations centre on issues surrounding citizenship, identity and social justice. I use archives and archival practices as a method for  highlighting under-represented perspectives or narratives that run in parallel or against collective memories. During the residency at George Enescu, I would like to explore and transgress three main and overlapping thematic interdisciplinary areas: historical & political perspectives, collective memory and inclusive practices. I also wish to draw upon my own cultural heritage and the layering of contemporaneous conditions in order to refect on similarities between and within communities and realities.
